Meet Pastor Don

I want to thank you for visiting the Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church web site. It is my hope that you will get several snapshots into what the Kernersville Church is all about by checking out the news and information that we have posted on this web site.

The growth of Kernersville as a community is also reflected in the church. In November of 2005 the church cut the ribbon on a new Sabbath School wing, commercial kitchen and Family Life Center. This addition was dedicated debt-free on May 19, 2007 and has provided much needed space for ministries such as: youth and adult Sabbath School classes, Adventurer and Pathfinder meeting space, indoor recreation, fellowship dinners, blood drives, Financial Peace University classes, the Family Promise ministry to homeless families, and the annual Walk Through Bethlehem Christmas outreach.  All these ministries operate with the express purpose of reaching people for Jesus.

Two priorities for the Kernersville Church are its ministry to children and youth and also a strong commitment to outreach and evangelism. The Kernersville Church offers a full Sabbath School program for infants to young adults. This is not just crafts and games but a study of God’s word and the development of a relationship with Jesus Christ.  In addition the church has a very active Little Lambs, Eager Beavers, Adventurers and Pathfinder Clubs with over 70 children and teens that meet every Wednesday evening during the school year.

The Breadshoppe Café ministry has just completed its third year of operation and will open its doors again in the fall. Breadshoppe operates one Saturday night of each month (October-March) in the church fellowship hall and serves wholesome food, music and fellowship with a special emphasis on building relationships in a café-like atmosphere.

I could go on about many other exciting things that are happening at Kernersville as we attempt to reach out and minister to people in these troubling times in which we live. We invite you to visit us one Sabbath (Saturday) morning soon and consider becoming part of a community of believers that looks forward to Jesus’ soon return and the importance of reaching lost people for Him!
