I believe that God has called my family and me to the Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist church for a very important purpose. My life’s mission statement is to introduce relational God which comes from Jesus’ command as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. This states that we are to go into all the world, to make disciples, baptize, and teach. Jesus is coming very soon and it is our responsibility to introduce others to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This mission statement naturally fits into what is happening in our church.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kernersville is more than a place to come and worship the Creator and Savior. It is a place to serve the community and to build relationships. It is a place for all ages to grow in a saving relationship with Jesus. We have Sabbath School classes for all ages. Additionally, we have very active Little Lamb, Eager Beaver, and Adventurer clubs—designed for those who are four to nine years old.
Likewise, we have a Pathfinder club for those who are ten and up, which can be likened to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. All of these clubs are co-ed and are very important in teaching those who are young in the church about God, respect, stewardship, service, and unity.
Something new to the church is “Friday Night Fellowship.” This is a Friday evening get-together for people collegiate aged through young adults. We have a good time gathering together, singing God’s praises, discussing a relevant topic, and socializing together. We meet in various members’ homes every Friday night at 7pm.
